Road accident.
Steel street railings shaped by a mini bus belonging to a London Christian church involved in an accident in King's Cross, London.
I got friendly with a road railings repair gang. When they had to deal with an interesting accident they sent me a picture. If I liked what I saw they delivered to my studio.

The installation in E5 was part of a pandemic lockdown sculpture trail devised by artist/curator Vanya Balogh, called RoadMAP21, I suppose in response to the goverment's "Roadmap to Freedom" policy. i had the cynical idea of using the wreckage from a road accident.
Christmas 2024, I decided to decorate it in the festive spirit. I used blue and red strobe'. flashing amber hazard lamps, red blue and white fairy lights. I used toy traffic cones as baubles and red and white barrier tape as tinsel. all was topped off by a plastic pigeon, like an urbanchristmas robin, just doing what oigeons do, sitting on top of statues.
